System Sensor Completes CO Detection Line with New Round CO1224TR and CO-PLATE for Retrofits

St. Charles, IL – System Sensor today announced that its new CO1224TR Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detector with RealTest^® will be available in April 2011. The CO1224TR is a round version of the award-winning System Sensor CO1224T CO detector.

“Many of our customers requested a circular version of the CO1224T for ceiling or wall applications where a round device would better suit the aesthetics,” said Justin Mayer, System Sensor product manager for the Security business unit. “Except for its round housing, the CO1224TR provides the same great features as the original CO1224T.”

Like the CO1224T, the CO1224TR includes RealTest — the first and only field functional CO test fully compliant with NFPA 720: 2009. Only RealTest enables you to quickly verify that the CO detectors you install are actually protecting your customers. The CO1224T and CO1224TR also provide multiple mounting options and are quick and easy to install, test, and maintain. With a low current draw, the latest electrochemical sensing cell, and a six-year, end-of-life timer, the CO1224T and CO1224TR provide the most reliable protection available.

To upgrade competitive system-connected detectors to the CO1224T or CO1224TR, simply wire the System Sensor detector and mount it directly to the wall or ceiling. For retrofits in which the footprint or outline of the competitive detector must be covered, the CO-PLATE CO Detector Replacement Plate perfectly covers the outline of the old detector. The CO1224T detector then mounts to the CO-PLATE for a clean, low-profile finish ideal for commercial and residential applications. The CO-PLATE is available now.
